The RPi Remote-Support Appliance
For most clients, the Raspberry Pi 4B appliance is the easiest way in. It's an inexpensive box that drops onto a client's network and quietly keeps the door open for remote support — no VPN client to install, no port to open, no ongoing subscription fee to a third-party remote-access vendor.
Plug it in, and the Pi dials out to our own control server over a set of persistent, outbound-only reverse SSH tunnels. There's nothing to open on the client's firewall and nothing running on the LAN that accepts inbound connections — the appliance is a one-way jump box, never itself remoted into directly.
No VPN, No Third-Party Tunnel Service
Just two moving parts: the Pi and our own always-on server. No WireGuard mesh, no ngrok, nothing else in the middle.
In DevelopmentRustDesk Remote Support
Remote sessions run through RustDesk, so our technicians use the same tool on every client site.
In DevelopmentZero Firewall Changes on Their Side
The Pi initiates every connection outbound. Nothing needs to be opened, forwarded, or exposed on the client's router.
In DevelopmentIntrusion Detection
Add a Suricata IDS sensor to any unit for network-level threat visibility on the client's LAN.
Upgrade AvailableDedicated IDS Appliance
For clients who want more than the on-Pi sensor upgrade, a purpose-built intrusion detection box sits alongside the Pi: an RK3568 ARM64 board running Suricata full-time, with its own XIDS dashboard for reviewing alerts and network activity at a glance.
RK3568 ARM64 Hardware
Low-power, fanless-class ARM64 board dedicated to inspection, so IDS load never competes with remote support.
In DevelopmentXIDS Dashboard
A dedicated web dashboard that turns raw Suricata alerts into a readable picture of what's happening on the client network.
In DevelopmentUptime Monitoring & Escalation
Client websites and mailboxes are watched around the clock from an independent vantage point, and when something breaks, a real person hears about it — fast, and with a backup if the first person can't answer.
Self-Hosted Monitoring
Uptime Kuma runs on our own always-on server, separate from the sites it watches, with an external watchdog as a backstop in case the monitor itself goes dark.
In DevelopmentAI Health-Check Agent
When a check fails, an AI agent diagnoses the problem and fixes what it safely can before anyone is paged.
In DevelopmentSMS Escalation With a Backup
Anything it can't fix triggers repeated SMS alerts until acknowledged. No reply within 20 minutes hands the incident to a designated backup technician — no single point of failure in a one-person shop.
